Welcome
Welcome to Xitla ‘Huitzitzilin. The Nahuatl word, Huitzitzilin for humming bird captures the sound and movement of this colorful agile bird that holds water as it reflects its color outward. The hummingbird teaches us a nuanced understanding for how to move in the world, embodying a spectrum of co-creative possibility, as it navigates in all directions. Xitla is the woman who embodies light from the stars. She is a fractal and seed, that shines with the light of the galaxy. These two concepts come from ancient wisdom body technologies that begin to point to a new kind of healing wisdom that is embodied in our work and not customary in modern western psychology.

I am a two-spirited matrilineal medicine woman walking the red road since I was a child. I have a master's degree in clinical psychology with over 20 years of practice. My philosophical approach is deeply spiritual, trauma-sensitive, psychosomatic, and relationally based, viewed through a developmental and ecological lens.
My work is rooted in the indigenous medicine wheel; providing space to enter inquiry regarding the balance and coherence of the emotional, mind, physical, relational and spiritual bodies. An inward journey to sit with our chaos and disorganization until we organically become clear what needs to be purged, what strings we want to pull forward both ancestrally and self created, where do we want to go, and how does it all align with the larger macro story playing out. Our micro connects with the macro..consciously or unconsciously. Either way we will be responsible for what we weave….helps to do the inner work so our inner ecology can be a reliable and consistent resource as we learn to navigate our external world with authenticity and creativity. The I emerges within the WE. Co-conspiring with our human family to co-create loving relationships rooted in reciprocity and mutuality.
